Bequem Eleganz Sock Kit from 52 weeks of Socks Vol II

Bequem Eleganz Sock Kit from 52 weeks of Socks Vol II

£35.00

Designed by Emma Brace and featured in 52 Weeks of Socks: Volume II by Laine Publishing, the Bequem Eleganz socks are a clever pattern featuring a mixture of textures and techniques resulting in a cosy, squishy sock.

We are thrilled our DROVER sock yarn in the darkest shade Whernside is used in both published colourways and have created special kits for you.

Choose from a dark pair combining Whernside with pops of silvery grey Pen-y-Ghent, or if you prefer, select the light kit using Pen-y-Ghent as the main colour and Whernside peeping through.

DARK kit includes:
(MC) 2 skeins of Drover sock yarn in Whernside
(CC) ½ skein of Drover sock yarn in Pen-y-Ghent (wound into a ball)

LIGHT kit includes:
(MC) 2 skeins of Drover sock yarn in Pen-y-Ghent
(CC) ½ skein of Drover sock yarn in Whernside (wound into a ball)

Please note the pattern is not included in the kit and can be found in the book 52 Weeks of Socks: Volume II.

CONSTRUCTION
These socks are knitted from the top down with a short row heel and a simple detail running down the back and sides. The cast-on edge is knitted holding two strands of MC together with one strand of CC. The CC thread is then cut to work the cuff with two strands of MC held double. This results in a plump fold-over cuff. After the cuff, both MC and CC are used single-stranded.
