Bumble Hap Pattern by Fay Daspher-Hughes

Bumble Hap Pattern by Fay Daspher-Hughes

£5.00
Bumble is a versatile crochet pattern that can be worked up in 200g as a triangular shawl, or 400g as a more traditional hap shape to wear folded double for extra cosiness. With subtle honeycomb shapes, it’s a nod to the beauty of bee architecture.
Yarn
Ammonite by Daughter of a Shepherd; 100g/ 400m/ 437yds; 50% Hebridean/ 50% Exmoor Blueface.

Triangular shawl - 200g/ 800m/ 874yds
Hap (rhombus shaped) - 400g/ 1600m/ 1748yds

Construction
Crocheted from the bottom up with increases every row over a six-row sequence. The body of the triangular shawl finishes when 95%/ 190g of yarn has been used up.
The hap is worked in the same way, swapping to decreases when 190g has been used and 210g remains unused. Decreases are also worked over a six-row sequence. The hap body is finished when the stitch count is back down to 7 stitches.
A simple border is added using double crochet and double slip stitches.
